How lucky am I....

Lindsey just finished adding a couple photos from one of our recent shoots to the online gallery and she called me and told me to check it out and see what I thought. As I sat there and looked at our work, I thought to myself how lucky I really am. Not only do I get to work and spend time with my beautiful wife...the love of my life Linds, but I also get to work with the most amazing couples that I could ever hope for. We look back on each of our past client's photos and we get so sentimental when we see their happiness and love for one another. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our former and current couples.
We had the opportunity to meet another couple this past weekend in Augusta GA. Kelley and Charlie booked us for their wedding a while back, but because of distance and busy schedules we didn't get to meet them until we went to photograph their engagement last Sunday. They are wonderful together! It was a great session and a few of our favorites of them are below. Hope you all enjoy them as much as we enjoyed shooting them.

It's really getting busy now!

Our winter break is definitely over! Typically, January and February are the two months out of the year that we aren't totally swamped with work, but this year is definitely different. We have been super busy so far this year, but we are thankful for every second of it! Last weekend we traveled to Columbia, SC for a bridal portrait for a wedding we have in a few weeks. Our bride, Ann Drayton took us to cute little one room church that is no longer in use. This church is sentimental to her family and it's the only place she wanted to go. Ann Drayton looked stunning and her photos are some of our favorites of all time. We are anxious to post them to our website, but we'll have to wait until right after her wedding. On Sunday, we drove back to Greenville and got to spend the afternoon with one of the sweetest couples, Mary & Scott. We took them all over downtown for their engagement photo session and some of our favorites from it are below.

Love my job....

Anyone who meets us knows this, but we love our job! Last night we were putting the final touches on Lois & Michael’s slide show, and looking at their pictures of the ceremony and first dance gave me goose bumps. We are so lucky to be able to make a living at something that we enjoy. That is one of the reasons that we only shoot weddings…everyone is happy, looking their best, and really want to have their picture taken. Being able to document such an important day is really exciting.

On Saturday we placed an order for two new cameras, all new memory cards, and a new lens! We are very excited about our new cameras, which will give us a higher mega-pixel and a better ability to shoot in low light…we can’t wait to test them out this weekend with the two engagement sessions and bridal portrait we will be shooting.

Last night we got a phone call from our former clients Chris and Erin, who were married September 7th, 2007. They were excited to tell us that their wedding and reception site (The Crest Center – www.thecrestcenter.com) is going to use their wedding pictures in its advertising campaign. The photo below will be displayed on billboards in the Asheville area and featured in The Knot! How exciting!!!

I hate rainy days!

It's just too cold and wet to be motivated to do much today! It's days like these that I wish I could just stay in bed and read a good book or watch a movie. Unfortunately, our lives are way too busy for that! I'm spending today getting last minute things together for the wedding festival tomorrow. I'm also working on the last wedding that we photographed. It was Lois & Michael's wedding in Spartanburg last Saturday. Everything turned out wonderful for them! They are such a sweet couple and we're really excited because they've chosen to shoot an "after the wedding" session. So Lois will put her dress back on and Michael will be in his tux and we'll get to spend the whole day photographing just them! That's something that more and more of our couples are requesting and we just love it! It really gives us the time to get amazing shots of them that you'd never have time for on the wedding day. I've posted a few of our favorite shots from their wedding below. Hope all of you have a dry, safe and happy weekend! Stop by and say hello if you're at the wedding festival tommorow.
